Welcome to the Keyboard Institute

With the impending doom/resale of Deskthority, it has become clear that we need to take the knowledge base (as well as discussion outlets) of the vintage keyboard community back into community hands, as there is a chance of losing them forever.

The Keyboard Institute will serve as the initial space for this in the near future, starting with a new wiki, the Keyboard Bureau of Investigation. We intend to keep Creative Commons licensing on all content, and we will regularly publish database dumps so that the community is never in the position in which we currently find ourselves ever again.

New! We've also started a switch database with the aim of documenting every switch that exists. Help us! Submissions are open at Keyswitch Background Information, our switch database.
